The hacker who stole 20 million OP tokens returned 17 million back to the Optimism wallet. An unknown person sent all this amount, 1 million tokens for each transaction. Previously, Wintermute has already warned the attacker that if the funds are not returned, he will go to court. The kidnapper also kept his promise to Vitalik Buterin when he sent an SMS in a transaction promising to return the money.

Well the interesting thing is the hacker has almost returned it all…Glad to hear that. Now they may be considering how they can find a way to reward the hacker for sharing insights on how they exploited the gap that gave them SOOO much exposure in the first place.
